Dzekashu MacViban is a leading publisher of African literature and translation and curator of literary practices. He is the founder of Bakwa Books, a Cameroon-based publishing house which empowers creatives and storytellers through print and podcast projects. He was previously Editorial Manager at This is Africa and has been guest editor at The Schloss Post and Solitude Journal. He is the editor of Of Passion and Ink: New Voices from Cameroon (2020), and co-editor of Limbe to Lagos: Nonfiction from Cameroon and Nigeria (2020). He is the author of Scions of the Malcontent and his writing has been translated into Japanese, German, French and Spanish. Dzekashu recently curated “You Have A Fullness You Need To Bring Out” (Akademie Schloss Solitude, 2021) and he is a recipient of an Akademie Schloss Solitude Fellowship.
